In tonight’s episode we welcome the return of Peter Rosenberger to discuss his experiences as an in-home caregiver and the struggles and pitfalls one faces caring for a loved one. Caregivers have been a silent aspect of American life for generations and continue to be a valuable asset to many who cannot care for themselves on a daily basis.

We discuss the number of caregivers in homes today compared to the current population of people living in nursing homes or assisted living centers, whether or not healthcare is a right, and what to look for when seeking or interacting with a caregiver of your loved one.

Peter is the host of Hope for the Caregiver; a syndicated radio program heard weekly on 200 stations. For more than thirty years, he’s cared for his wife, Gracie, who lives with severe disabilities. He is the author of “7 Caregiver Landmines and How You Can Avoid Them” and has been featured in USA Today, AARP Magazine and U.S. News & World Report.
