Charlie is an award-winning journalist, radio host, general manager, sports executive, and college professor. Recognized by the Associated Press, Radio TV News Directors Association, National Association of Broadcasters and the National Headliners Club for outstanding news coverage, Charlie covered thousands of stories and interviewed hundreds of notable people, including Ronald Reagan (dined at the White House), Yogi Berra, Dr. Benjamin Spock, Barbara Bush, Mother Teresa, and David Koresh. He worked for CBS radio stations and Major League Baseball, National Football League, National Basketball Association and Major League Soccer franchises. A native of rural Wisconsin, Charlie has lived in diverse places such as San Francisco, Dallas, Miami, Los Angeles, San Diego, Kansas City, St. Augustine, London, the island of Ibiza, and even a New Mexico monastery. He and his wife Dianne are the proud parents of six successful adult children and have four grandchildren.
