4. Disclosure of Information

We disclose information for certain purposes and to third parties as described below:

4.1 The C2M Network family of companies

We may share your information among the C2M Network family of companies (Caravan to Midnight / Jellyfish News / John B. Wells / c2mstore.com) as needed for providing access to our services, customer support, service improvements, content development, and other purposes described in this policy.

4.2 Service Providers

We use other companies, agents, or contractors (“Service Providers”) to perform services on our behalf or to assist us in providing services to you. Examples include communications, security, infrastructure and IT services, personalization and optimization, payment processing, customer service, analytics, and surveys. Service Providers may have access to personal or other information while providing services. We do not authorize them to use or disclose personal information except as necessary to provide their services (including maintaining and improving their services).

5. Cookies and Internet Advertising

We and our Service Providers use cookies and other technologies (such as web beacons), and may use resettable device identifiers, for various reasons. This section explains the types of technologies we use, what they do, and your choices regarding their use.

5.1 Cookies, similar technologies, web beacons, and device identifiers

Cookies are small data files commonly stored on your device when you browse and use websites and online services. We may also use other technologies such as browser storage and plugins (for example, HTML5, IndexedDB, and WebSQL). Web beacons (also known as clear gifs or pixel tags) often work in conjunction with cookies. Declining cookies may impair the effectiveness of web beacons associated with those cookies.

If you use the Caravan to Midnight app on a mobile device, tablet, or streaming media device, we may collect a resettable device identifier from your device. Resettable device identifiers (advertising identifiers) may include IDFA (Apple iOS) or Google Advertising ID (Android), and are used to make advertising more relevant and for analytics and optimization.

5.2 Why we use these technologies

  • To make it easier to access our services by remembering you when you return
  • To provide, analyze, understand, and enhance the use of our services
  • To enforce our terms, prevent fraud, and improve security
  • To improve site performance and understand visitor traffic and actions
  • To deliver and tailor marketing or advertising and measure effectiveness
  • To support ad-supported subscription plans (if applicable)

5.3 Types of cookies and identifiers

  • Essential cookies. Strictly necessary to provide our website or service, authenticate members, enforce Terms of Use, prevent fraud, and maintain security.
  • Performance and functionality cookies. Help customize and enhance your experience, remember preferences, and collect usage information (such as popular pages, conversion rates, viewing patterns, and click-through activity). Deleting these cookies may limit functionality.
  • Advertising cookies and resettable device identifiers. Used to deliver ads more relevant to you and for analytics and optimization. Advertising partners may receive information for campaign targeting, measurement, and optimization (for example, signup steps completed or install/app open information). We use contractual and technical measures designed to prevent partners from accessing information regarding specific title selections, URLs you land on, or shows you watched. We do not share information about specific title selections or shows watched on our service.

6. Your Information and Rights

You can request access to your personal information, correct or update inaccurate information, or request that we delete personal information we hold about you.

When you visit the “Account” portion of our website, you can access and update a broad range of information about your account, including contact information and related account information. You must be signed in to access the “Account” section.

For other requests, or if you have questions about our privacy practices, please contact customer support at techsupport@caravantomidnight.com. We may reject requests that are unreasonable or not required by law, including requests that are extremely impractical, require disproportionate technical effort, or could expose us to operational risks such as enabling fraud.

6.1 Retention of information

We may retain information as required or permitted by applicable laws and regulations, including to honor your choices, for billing or records purposes, and to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We retain information for legitimate interests and essential business purposes such as operating, maintaining, and improving our services; complying with legal obligations; and exercising legal rights and remedies, including enforcing our terms of use.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, logical, physical, and managerial measures designed to safeguard personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, and modification. However, no measures can be guaranteed to provide 100% security, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.

8. Children

You must be at least 18 years of age or older to subscribe to the Caravan to Midnight service. Minors may only use the service with the involvement, supervision, and approval of a parent or legal guardian.

This notice applies to consumers who reside in states that have adopted consumer privacy laws and supplements this Privacy Policy to the extent applicable. Because of differences in state laws, this supplement includes California (CCPA) specific notices and other state-specific sections that may apply to residents of one or more states with consumer privacy laws requiring such information.
