Charles was born and raised in Philadelphia, his Dad and Grandfather were Philadelphia Police Officers. He runs the Michael Strange Foundation with the help of my wife, Mary. They have 2 sons, Michael and Charles and 2 daughters, Katelyn and Carly. His life changed on August 6, 2011 when my oldest son, Michael, was killed in Afghanistan and now my mission is to help other Gold Star Parents* through the Michael Strange Foundation.

*A Gold Star Parent is someone who lost a son/daughter in active combat during a time of war.
