Joe Imperatrice founded Blue Lives Matter NYC following the Dec. 2014 premeditated, point blank ambush execution of two NYPD officers while sitting in their car. Their names were Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu. Blue Lives Matter is made up of both active and retired police officers eager to expose a growing sense of disrespect and vulnerability facing those who already face more than enough dangers in their duties. At a time when tensions between civilians and police are running at a new high, regardless of color or race people will still call 911 and expect to be served and protected.
