Dr. David E Jackson

Biography:

Dr. David E. Jackson is a native of Atlanta, GA, and is a highly sought-after speaker, life coach, author, and consultant throughout the United States, Africa, the Near East, and the Caribbean. He is the new Executive Director of New Life of New York City, Inc (NLNYC), a youth development organization committed to building healthy relationships with NYC teenagers through Academics, Arts, Athletics, and Spiritual Formation. Prior to joining NLNYC, he served as the Associate Director of African American Affairs at The Philos Project, an international affairs organization based in New York. In addition, Dr. Jackson consults with government, non-profit, and ministry organizations nationally through his organization, D. E. Jackson Enterprises, LLC.

He brings over 15 years of ministry experience including serving as a youth pastor (New York, Boston, and Atlanta), a lead pastor (Atlanta), and a church planter (Atlanta). He is an ordained Elder in the Church of God of Christ (COGIC) and currently serves on the ministerial council at Zion Cathedral COGIC in Freeport, NY. Dr. Jackson is a former police officer and senior instructor with the Atlanta Police Department, has served as a chief-of-staff in the New York City Council (District 41), and worked at the Salvation Army Training College for the Southern Territory.

Dr. Jackson is a strong supporter of education. He is a graduate of Cornell University (B.A.), Union Theological Seminary of New York (M.Div.), and New York Theological Seminary (D.Min.). He is completing his 2nd doctorate (Ph.D.) in Organizational Leadership at Southeastern University. Dr. Jackson is the author of three inspirational self-help books and an op-ed contributor. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, and is married to Dr. Tiffany Hunter Jackson, MD, have a daughter (Trinity Yael), and live in New York.
