Irish born, Africa bred, Justin studied anthropology and economics before spending 25 years in the media, marketing and technology sectors in the corporate world. Three years ago, weeks before his 50th birthday, he abandoned the corporate world to pursue a passion aligned with his libertarian values. Growing up in and traveling extensively across Africa exposed him first hand to grotesque inequality at many levels. Politics and history aside, he developed a fascination of how the global economy has become so incapable of coping with the demands of overpopulation, poverty, resource sustainability and the future of our planet and species.
He teamed up with a long-standing university friend and projectUBU’s brainchild to begin a long and difficult journey to instill greater global economic resilience – an environment where economic participation leads to greater inclusion, stability and prosperity without relying on taxation or donations.
