Biography:

After college, I was a systems analyst for five years before going to law school. I clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals and was in practice in Chicago for three years before starting at the University of Virginia School of Law in the fall of 2001. I’ve been at UVA since then and am currently the Joseph W. Dorn Research Professor of Law at UVA, where I teach Constitutional Law, Antitrust Law, and Communications Law. I’m also a Senior Fellow at the Center for National Security Law and an Army Reserve Judge Advocate, but that’s probably not relevant.
